Fantastic title to this one. Just like the word "Decepted" (as in "Decepted by the Cross") - I was a master of inventing my own English words at this point. The word "Unorthodox" did stick though..ending up being the title of the 2nd Edge of Sanity record. This is another one-man-band in the style of Death Metal. I think it was also one o those "let's try some new engineering things" project inventions. Probably trying to get that "Leprosy" snare or the Morrissound Kick. Still not really getting the thing about "triggering" stuff. I thought all those sounds were real :) The Beethoven intro would most likely never have made it to an Edge of Sanity, but I always thought it was evil and cool! I also think the set-up with One guitar in Left and a bass, with the same settings, in the right speaker is kind of cool! If you listen closely at 2:20 you might hear what we did nick from this track to an Edge of Sanity track. Dating this recording to "before December 1990" An of course, the name...Anathema..There was another band using that, so that was another reason for not returning to this project ever again :)

This is for sure one of the greatest releases by Dan, so magical, ethereal and beautiful. I’m very happy to have it here on Bandcamp.
The final part of “The likes of no one” always bring me to tears. antoniolopez66
